Description
This self-paced, on-demand book study course provides an in-depth exploration of Inscapes of the Child’s World by John Allan, a seminal work that weaves together developmental psychology, Jungian theory, and therapeutic art. Through Allan’s unique integration of narrative, symbolism, and case material, readers will deepen their understanding of the child’s inner world and the therapeutic processes that support healing and growth.
One of the strengths of this book is the timelessness of the processes that can be immediately put into practice in a variety of settings. There are directive, non-directive, and integrative approaches described in a variety of clinical settings and configurations that further make for an engaging and useful resource. Please be sure to read the forward by James Hillman, which is a beautiful affirmation of principles too often disregarded in clinical practice.
11 non-contact CE hours will be granted after completing an evaluation and post-test. These hours are based on a formula that takes into account the number of pages being read and the difficulty level of the material. For those of you needing specific Association for Play Therapy credits, this course will count in the following categories, distribution based on participant discretion.
