Content and Process

Each day we will begin with a reading and personal reflection in silence.
Our time together will include a blend of discussion, reflection, and experiential process.
All objectives will be achieved through direct (left brain) and indirect (right brain) learning.

Nourishment for the body

Breakfast: We welcome you for continental breakfast and informal gathering beginning each morning at 8:45. We always provide at least fresh baked goods, fruit, cheese & crackers, yogurt, nuts, teas, & Café Bustelo (it’s instant but strong & good). We can accommodate dietary restrictions – let us know in advance.

*Lunch: We break for 1.5 hours at approximately 12:30. Please make your lunch commitments flexible, as the exact timing can vary slightly due to the nature of group processing. We are located along the B-Line which is a direct route through the west side of downtown with several restaurant options within walking distance. There is a microwave & mini fridge available in the office.

Snacks: Fresh baked cookies and chocolates provided in the afternoon.

If you require, or desire, anything additionally, please contact us directly

What to Bring

  • a favorite journal for experiential reflections

  • a notebook for didactic learning notes

  • pen from which your ideas flow

  • a sense of adventure

We have trays and miniatures for everyone. If you have favorite miniatures, you are welcome to bring them for your use.

This is a relaxed environment, bring/ wear whatever you need to feel comfy.

A note about cell phones: A main component of the sandtray process is the ability to be truly present; practicing this skill is a learning objective for all levels.  Please be prepared to put away your phone while we are engaged in the sessions in order to foster connection. While they are useful and encouraged as a means to photograph your work, they have a way of suddenly whisking us away through messages, reminders, alerts, news, and other distractions that do not allow us to fully engage the depths of ourselves, and the community within which we are sharing.
